Payment Terms
What Storypole PRO costs, how billing, cancellation and refunds work, and how online payments between you and your customers and subs work.
Last updated 2 October 2026. Provider: Storypole LLC (“Storypole”, “we”, “us”), 4461 67th Avenue N, Pinellas Park, Florida 33781.
These Payment Terms are part of the Terms of Service.
1. Plans
| Plan | Monthly | Users included |
|---|---|---|
| PRO | $299 | Up to 3 |
| PRO + Operations | $549 | Up to 10 |
| Company | $899 | Unlimited |
- Extra users on PRO and PRO + Operations: $25 per user per month.
- Annual plans: pay for 10 months and get 12.
- Done-for-you setup: $1,995, quoted before any work starts; free on annual plans. Guided setup is free on every plan.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any sales or use tax, which we add where the law requires.
2. Free trial
Every new company gets a 30-day free trial of the plan it picks. No card is needed to start. Before the trial ends we remind you; to keep going, add a card. If you do not, the account becomes read-only — your work stays visible and exportable, and adding a card turns everything back on. One free trial per company.
3. Billing and renewal
- Monthly plans are billed in advance each month and renew automatically until you cancel. Annual plans are billed in advance for the year and renew automatically for another year unless you cancel before the renewal date; we remind you by email before an annual renewal.
- We charge the card or bank account on file through Stripe. If a payment fails we retry and tell you; if it is still unpaid after 14 days the account may become read-only until it is paid.
- Upgrades take effect at once and are charged pro rata for the rest of the period. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A change applies from your next renewal after the notice period; annual plans keep their price until renewal.
4. Cancellation and refunds
- Cancel any time in the app or by emailing support@storypolepro.com. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew.
- Money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied, tell us within your first 60 days as a paying customer and we refund the subscription fees you have paid. One guarantee per company.
- Otherwise, monthly fees are not refunded for partial months.
- Annual plans cancelled within 30 days of the first annual payment are refunded in full. After that, they run to the end of the year and are not refunded, except as below.
- We refund the prepaid unused period if we discontinue a feature material to your plan, if we make a material change to the terms you do not accept, or if we terminate your account without cause.
- Done-for-you setup is refundable in full until work starts, and after that for any part not delivered.
- Billing questions or disputes: email us within 60 days of the charge and we will sort it out before you need to go to your card issuer.
5. Online payments from your customers
To let customers pay invoices online, you open a payments account with our processor, Stripe, and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe verifies your identity and business, processes the payments, and pays out to your bank account. We are not a bank, money transmitter or payment processor and never hold your funds. You authorise us to pass the information Stripe needs and to see your payment activity so we can show it in the app.
| Payment | What it costs you |
|---|---|
| Card payment | Stripe's processing fee plus a Storypole platform fee of 0.5% of the payment |
| Bank (ACH) payment | Stripe's processing fee plus a Storypole platform fee of 0.25% of the payment |
| Direct deposit to a sub or supplier | $1 per payment |
- Fees are deducted from each payment before it is paid out to you. Stripe's current fees are on Stripe's website.
- You may pass the card fee to your customer as a surcharge where the law allows it, and you are responsible for following card-network and state rules on surcharges and disclosing them to your customer.
- Refunds to your customers are made by you from the app; the platform fee on a refunded payment is not returned unless Stripe returns its own fee.
- Chargebacks and disputes are between you, your customer and Stripe. Stripe's dispute fee applies, and disputed amounts may be taken from your balance. We will give you the documents in the service — signed proposal, change orders, invoices, photos and logs — to respond.
- Stripe may hold, delay or reverse payouts under its agreement with you. We cannot release funds Stripe is holding.
6. Paying your subs and suppliers
Direct deposits to subs and suppliers go through Stripe. Each payee sets up their own Stripe account to receive payouts. You are responsible for approving each payment, for its amount, and for any lien waiver, tax form (such as a W-9 or 1099) or insurance you require; the service can block payment to a sub with lapsed insurance only if the certificate dates entered are correct.
7. Financing offers
If you turn it on, your customers may see financing offers from third-party lenders on your proposals and invoices. The lender decides who qualifies and on what terms and contracts directly with your customer. We are not a lender, broker or arranger of credit, we do not see credit decisions, and we may receive a referral fee from the lender. You agree not to describe financing to your customer in a way the lender's program does not support.
8. Taxes
You are responsible for taxes on your own sales and payments. We may be required to report your payment volume to tax authorities through Stripe (for example on Form 1099-K).
